Financial help and support for our communities

The H.J. Heinz Company Limited Charitable Trust is committed to providing funding and support to promote the improvement of health and nutrition within our local communities. 

We give priority support to charitable programmes and organisations that operate in areas where Heinz also has significant operations and interests. In particular, we help charitable organisations dedicated to maintaining and improving nutrition and nutritional education, youth services and education.

The Charitable Trust confines its giving to purposes accepted in law as charitable in the following five key programme areas:

Nutrition
Supporting improvements in, and a better understanding of, the medical aspects of nutrition and health in the community with a particular emphasis on paediatrics.

Youth and Education
Supporting the positive development of youngsters in our communities by strengthening systems that affect learning and by sustaining programmes that supplement the formal education process.

Local Community
Supporting and enhancing the local communities in which H.J. Heinz has significant operations.

Quality of Life
Promoting programmes that support and add to the quality of life for residents in our communities, including support for the arts, as well as cultural and environmental programmes.

Volunteerism
Supporting charitable work of Heinz employees through a programme that provides funding to nationally recognised charitable organisations in recognition of volunteer service.
